Our Mission

PawChart EMR is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution designed specifically for veterinary practices across the Midwest United States. We help smaller practice groups (under twenty locations) modernize their Electronic Health and Medical Record systems to stay competitive in today's market.

Our system replaces outdated paper records and basic spreadsheets with a comprehensive digital platform that includes appointment scheduling, patient records management, and clinical documentation.

Developed as a University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee senior capstone project by Rob, Luke, Giovanna, and East, PawChart EMR addresses real operational challenges faced by veterinary professionals.

The Challenge We Solve

Problems Veterinarians Face:

  • Physical files lack the ability to effectively search, share, and back up patient data
  • Appointments booked through phone calls, paper calendars, or basic spreadsheets lead to double bookings
  • Outdated or non-existent electronic medical record systems create operational inefficiencies

Our Solution:

  • Interactive Appointment Scheduling: Calendar system that allows staff and pet owners to view open slots and book within a given month
  • Clinical Documentation: System for vet staff to input and view records regarding medication, diagnoses, vitals, and visit notes
  • Role-Based Access: Separate access levels between administrators and end users for security and efficiency
